CHB goes EnergyStar!
For several years, CHB has been looking at affordable steps the organization can take for building greener, more energy efficient homes. After some amount of planning and research, CHB has decided to partner with EarthAdvantage, who will provide testing, consulting services and certification to help CHB hit EnergyStar benchmarks. In order to achieve EnergyStar requirements, CHB will be building homes with upgraded insulation and building envelopes – dramatically increasing heating and cooling efficiency – reducing utility bills and other long term costs for our clients in Lafayette!

Securing land in the Willamette Valley has been an ongoing challenge for builders of all types. That’s why CHB is proud to announce that it has closed on the purchase of 50 lots in Lafayette, OR. These lots are fully developed – ready to begin home construction. These lots will be built out over four years, beginning in summer 2010. Homes will be built in groups of ten or eleven for four years – with construction scheduled to complete in summer of 2015.
